About the edition: Produced as a fundraiser edition for ODD-KIN, the repeating motif of Potential is a graphic appropriated from the 1963 book cover of The Potential of Women. The outdated book documents a symposium that imagined a future in which women might be "useful contributors;" Apfelbaum instead reflects the desire for a broader appreciation and empowerment of legions of capable women in the present. It has become an important motif that can be seen within the artist's recent practice.
