ODD-KIN X Wedding Cake House Curatorial Residency

The ODD-KIN x Wedding Cake House Curatorial Residency is a new collaborative program designed to bring together emerging and established art workers for a week of shared inquiry, storytelling, and exchange. Born out of several years of conversation between ODD-KIN and the incredible team at Wedding Cake House/Dirt Palace, the residency responds to a need for intimate, care-driven space to think through the curatorial field—its methods of distribution, community building, and the shifting ecosystems we work within. Over the course of the inaugural week-long session, our cohort gathered nightly around the dinner table to explore ideas, questions, and strategies with deep commitment and generosity.

This first group set the tone for what this residency can be, and we are grateful to our inaugural participants: Rachael Arauz, Brittni Anne Harvey, Harry Gould Harvey IV, Kate Irvin, Zach Ngin, Abigail Satinsky, Danni Shen, and Gee Wesley. Hosted with so much care by Pippi Zornoza, Xander Marro, Regina Gutierrez, and Cole Bespalko, the residency marks the beginning of a program we look forward to growing, processing, and building upon in the months ahead.
